Ridge & Endlap Back-Up Plate – CFR Note:
Use: Back-up Plates are inserted between the foam and the exterior skin during manufacturing to provide additional fastener support at each Mesa.
Ridge: To support the ridge fasteners, the plate is inserted in end.
Endlap: If there is an endlap, the back-up plate is also inserted at end to support the endlap fastener.
Field Applied: If the customer must cut the panels to accommodate a Hip Roof or if the customer is not sure of the panel lengths and plans to field cut the roof panels, the back-up plates must be field-installed.
Quantity: (1) at each High Mesa. (4″ o.c.)
